The Nature 2000 Working Group was established by the Central and Eastern European Working Group for the Enhancement of Biodiversity - CEEWEB, the Hungarian Society for the Protection of Birds and Nature – MME/BirdLife Hungary, the Association of Hungarian Nature Conservationists and the World Wide Fund –WWF Hungary, with the objective to ensure and harmonize civil participation in the development process of the national Nature 2000 Network.
The aim of the working group is to prepare and inform the Hungarian civil organizations on the actual policy issues regarding Nature 2000. Furthermore, the group aims to ensure the representation of civil interests in various forums and events as well as to establish efficient technical relation with the national decision makers.
