Research Centre for Farm Animal Gene Conservation (HáGK), the GATE Green Club and BirdLife Hungary/MME organised the conference 'Protection of Water, Wet Habitat and Biodiversity - Nature-friendly Fish- and Water management' in Báldy Bálint Conference Centre of HáGK, on 20th May, 2016.

The aim of the conference was to raise awareness and to encourage discussion on the conservation needs about the unique biodiversity connected to Hungarian wetlands. Participants could gain information about biodiversity of our wetlands, programmes, projects aiming conserving and maintaining these habitats carried out by research groups, universities, national park directorates and non-governmental organisations.
The conference was connected to the second Internatioal Nature Film festival, held between 18-22 May, 2016 in Gödöllő.
